Senior SharePoint & Power Platform Engineer Consultant (Manager) - Migrations & Modern Intranet Role SummaryLead and deliver enterprise SharePoint Server (on-premises) to Microsoft 365 migrations, build modern SharePoint Online intranets, shape target information architecture, migration waves, and modernization approaches. Partner closely with client stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and supportable solutions.
Possess deep experience across SharePoint Server, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft 365 administration, including Entra ID, Teams, and OneDrive. Lead and participate in full project lifecycles-discovery, assessment, target-state design, build/configuration, testing, migration execution, and deployment-and contribute to high-quality client outcomes through solution blueprints, design reviews, and cross-workstream collaboration. Carry in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management to support enterprise solution implementations and ensure solutions meet client needs.
Focus on the design, customization, and optimization of digital workplace solutions, particularly with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Power Platform, collaborating with EY groups to deliver digital engagements.
Key Responsibilities- Assess & plan migrations: run discovery/inventory, define migration scope and waves, estimate effort/complexity, and establish cutover and hypercare plans.
- Design the target intranet: define information architecture, hub/site strategy, navigation, search approach, metadata/content types, and permissions model.
- Execute migrations: configure and operate Microsoft and third-party migration tooling, manage pilots, remediate issues, and drive successful cutovers.
- Modernize solutions: map Legacy workflows/forms (eg, SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Nintex, K2) to Power Automate and Power Apps patterns where appropriate.
- Enable operations & governance: establish standards, provisioning/lifecycle controls, and operational reporting (including SharePoint Advanced Management where applicable).
- Lead stakeholders: run workshops, produce client-ready deliverables, and communicate risks, tradeoffs, and decisions clearly to technical and business audiences.
- 5+ years of consulting experience delivering SharePoint solutions and/or migrations using Microsoft technologies.
- Hands-on experience with SharePoint Server (2013/2016/2019) and SharePoint Online administration and configuration.
- Proven experience planning and executing SharePoint migrations (assessment, waves, pilots, remediation, cutover, and hypercare).
- Experience with at least one major migration toolset (eg, Microsoft Migration Manager, ShareGate, AvePoint, Quest).
- Experience implementing modern SharePoint Online intranets (information architecture, hubs, navigation, search, metadata, and permissions).
- Working knowledge of the Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate), especially for forms/workflow modernization patterns.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to lead workshops and present recommendations to technical and executive audiences.
- Experience delivering in regulated or security-conscious environments, incorporating identity, governance, and compliance requirements into designs.
- Prior enterprise consulting experience (client-facing delivery).
- Qualifications for Enterprise Technical Consulting within Microsoft stack, including SharePoint administration and Power Platform integration.
- One or more of the following Microsoft certifications (preferred):
- MS-900: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals
- MS-102: Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert
- MS-700: Managing Microsoft Teams
- SC-100: Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect (Critical)
- AI-900: Azure AI Fundamentals
- Microsoft Certified: AI Agent Builder Associate (beta)
- Microsoft certifications (preferred), such as Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert, Teams Administrator Associate, and Security Administrator Associate.
- Experience modernizing Legacy workflows/forms using SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Nintex, K2, or similar platforms.
- Experience with additional migration and modernization tools (eg, BitTitan, SkySync, Metalogix).
