IDR is seeking a Release Manager II to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you'll help plan, coordinate, and execute releases for a high-visibility, live service product, ensuring stable deployments and a seamless end-user experience. You'll collaborate with engineering, operations, and product partners to improve release processes and strengthen the delivery pipeline with a continuous delivery mindset.
Position Overview for the Release Manager II:
Coordinate and execute releases and deployments to support a consistent, high-quality customer experience
Support day-to-day operations of the release pipeline, monitoring readiness and escalating risks/issues as needed
Partner cross-functionally with development, operations, and product teams to keep releases on track
Help drive process and tooling improvements to increase reliability, repeatability, and speed of delivery
Maintain clear communication and documentation (runbooks, status updates, incident response procedures)
Requirements for the Release Manager II:
2+ years of experience in Release Management, QA, Live Operations, or similar roles in PC software or live service environments
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, Perforce, Git, Datadog, JIRA)
Working knowledge of release operations, including build/release coordination and basic troubleshooting in production environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders
Ability to follow established processes while proactively identifying risks, documenting gaps, and supporting continuous improvement
