Position Overview

ISPA Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator to support and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments supporting mission and business operations. This role is responsible for administering servers, operating systems, user access, patching, monitoring, and automation activities across both on-premises and hybrid environments.

The ideal candidate is a proactive technical professional who can maintain stable and secure systems while improving operational efficiency through scripting and automation. This position works closely with cybersecurity, networking, engineering, and support teams to ensure systems remain reliable, compliant, and operationally ready.

What You Will Do

Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments.

Perform routine system maintenance, patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation activities.

Monitor system performance, availability, and security using enterprise monitoring and logging tools.

Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, application, and infrastructure-related issues.

Manage user accounts, permissions, group policies, and access controls.

Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery operations.

Develop and maintain automation workflows using Ansible for system configuration, patching, deployment, and operational tasks.

Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and system inventories.

Support cybersecurity compliance initiatives, system hardening, and audit remediation efforts.

Coordinate with infrastructure, networking, and application teams to support operational requirements and system improvements.

Technical Environment

Windows Server and Linux administration

Active Directory and identity/access management

VMware or virtualized infrastructure environments

System monitoring and logging platforms

Patch management and vulnerability remediation

Ansible automation and configuration management

PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting

Backup and disaster recovery solutions

Enterprise networking fundamentals

Required Qualifications

Experience administering enterprise Windows and/or Linux systems.

Experience using Ansible for automation, configuration management, or deployment tasks.

Strong troubleshooting and system maintenance skills in enterprise environments.

Familiarity with virtualization technologies, patch management, and system monitoring tools.

Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, system hardening, and access management.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and support operational environments with minimal supervision.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting regulated, government, or mission-support environments.

Familiarity with container platforms or CI/CD support environments.

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Red Hat, Microsoft, VMware, or Ansible Automation certifications.
