Senior Backend Engineer

Our financial client is seeking a dedicated and innovative Senior Backend Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Engineering Department supporting the development and maintenance of scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to collaboration, aligning successfully within a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer

Location: Sunrise, Florida (hybrid)

Pay Range: 60/hr W2; 70/hr C2C

Type: Contract (12+ months)

What's the Job?

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Implement microservices architectures to support scalable and efficient platform operations.
• Develop and optimize REST API endpoints following best practices for security and performance.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions and Workflows to streamline deployment processes.
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS Lambda and Azure Functions to implement serverless solutions.

What's Needed?

• Deep expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js development.
• Hands-on experience with backend frameworks like Fastify or Express.
• Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain microservices architectures.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, especially with GitHub Actions and Workflows.
• Solid understanding of serverless architectures and cloud platforms such as AWS Lambda and Azure Functions.
