Lakeland University is seeking a customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to provide technical support and maintain IT systems across campus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic networking issues
- Provide technical support via multiple channels
- Deploy and maintain endpoint devices
- Support Microsoft 365 tools
- Assist with A/V setup and support
- Maintain campus technology environments
- Track service requests in the IT service management system
- Provide user training and support
- Collaborate with team members and student workers
- Participate in on-call rotation
SPECIALIZED KNOW-HOW & SKILLS
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Windows and macOS
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Technical troubleshooting ability
- Ability to support non-technical users
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates degree in IT or related field
- Help desk or technical support experience
- Experience with Microsoft 365
- Experience with end-user devices and peripherals
- Basic networking knowledge
- Familiarity with endpoint management tools
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 points or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day;
- No or very limited exposure to physical risk;
- Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
- Occasional evenings or weekends required.
- Some travel between campus locations required.
