Web Designer/ Content Manager
Summary
The primary responsibility of the Web Designer/Content Manager is to maintain and enhance the university's website, including page creation, updates, structure, design, optimization, and overall website functionality. This position works closely with the Marketing Director to implement projects and timelines while helping create engaging content for digital platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Reflect, articulate, and promote the mission, vision, and identity of Evangel University
- Responsible for creating, updating, monitoring, and maintaining pages, functionality, and overall performance of the university website
- Design and build web pages that are visually engaging, user friendly, responsive, and aligned with university branding standards
- Ability to work within WordPress and code using HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
- Maintain current website best practices related to accessibility, SEO, mobile responsiveness, and user experience
- Proactively ensure Evangel's website includes accurate and up to date information, photography, and digital content
- Work with third-party contractors and companies to enhance web design and functionality
- Ability to work with and mentor students and other team members in a collaborative environment
- Understanding of current best practices using AI tools as they pertain to digital communication and willingness to learn and integrate evolving technologies
- Assist with photography, videography, and event coverage as assigned in support of marketing initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Understand, appreciate, and articulate the mission of Evangel University
- Experience with WordPress, website management, and front-end web development
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Understanding of website structure, responsive design, and digital user experience
- Strong file management, organizational, and project management skills
- Able to receive and give feedback with grace
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience working with vendors and outside partners
Other
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of web design experience
- Commitment to take advantage of professional learning opportunities that will increase her or his knowledge and skill base.
