Position: Program Manager - High Speed IO Cables

Location: Nashua, NH

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, highbandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks,Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable theelectronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMsglobally. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and arecurrently seeking a Program Manager to join our team located in Nashua, NH.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will be responsible for customer communication, planning, budget,and execution. Manage and provide technical leadership for new productdevelopment programs with high complexity. Manage these programs to ensure thatproducts/technologies are delivered according to market/customer expectations inrespect of specifications, timing and budget.

Manage the program, project, the program team, contribute to the programscope and project objectives as well as assure that all steps are completedProvide communication interface to customer for communication of programstatus, schedule, requirements, etc.Manage and provide Technical Leadership to project/program teams acrossmultiple sites throughout the execution of product development projectsSchedule and manage internal team meetings to address necessary action itemsand keep programs on scheduleManage internal and external suppliers for on time completion of actionsTimely communication to management for resource requirements to keepprojects on scheduleDefine product specifications and project scope to ensure it is in line withmarket / customer needs and ensure development of the product / processaccordinglyMake sure that projects are in accordance with the financial objectivesincluding creation, review, submission of capital requests, review and submittalof product costing information and managing project scope creepMake decisions in order to speed up the process and ensure the best time tomarket, time to volume and time to profitabilityEnsure application of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles duringthe product developmentEnsure that capacity planning is performed through the project phases sothat supply meets expected demandProvide project updates to functional management on a regular basisEnsure systems are set up for ordering / manufacturing of productsManage & reduce risks including the development of alternatives using riskreduction tools in order to maintain project objectives and schedules

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field, masters preferred5+ years of direct project/program management experience1 year of direct project/program management experience within theinterconnect industryAbility to read, analyze and interpret technical product drawingsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions fromvarious levels of managementAbility to effectively manage customer communication and expectationsAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concretevariables in situations where only limited standardization existsShould have knowledge and skills using:Project Management softwareSpreadsheet software (Excel)Word Processing software (Word)Presentation software (PowerPoint)
