Position: Solutions Architect

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Amphenol High Speed and Commercial Products Groups are the market leaders forhigh speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom andDiverse markets (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.).Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enablerfor all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We are currently seeking a SolutionsArchitect to join our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Our customer's ultimate success depends on our ability to solve cutting edgeproblems in relation to interconnect solutions. We value our relationships withthese companies, and we depend on our Solutions Architecture team to drive thisongoing partnership and lead these technical conversations.

Lead the architectural design and technical strategy for customer solutionsinvolving Amphenol productsProvide strategic technical marketing support for the development andimplementation of Amphenol productsPrepare materials and lead high-level product presentations to keystakeholders (including executives)Provide advanced customer service to solve complex interconnect problems andtechnical inquiriesDevise and implement strategies to differentiate our products and solutionsfrom our competitorsLead efforts to meet and exceed strategic objectivesMentor junior engineers and provide leadership within the Field ApplicationsEngineering teamTravel will be required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's in Computer or Electrical EngineeringAn advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) is highly desirableThe role will draw on either your electronic engineering background (signaltransmission, EMI/EMC, signal integrity)Minimum of 10 years demonstrated experience providing product marketing andsales technical support to produce design wins10+ years of experience working in interconnect solutionsDeep knowledge and experience support the larger system architecture eitherfrom working at a connector/cable company, or from working on the customer sideExtensive experience with modeling tools and Microsoft Office Products

SKILLS:

Ability to effectively communicate across the engineering and managerialfunctions of a businessStrong organizational and presentation skillsHigh-level customer service and ability to build relationships withcustomersExpertise with modeling tools (Pro E or SolidWorks)Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products

The base salary range for this senior position is $180,000 - $215,000 USDannually. In determining rate of pay, Amphenol considers a variety ofnondiscriminatory factors, including but not limited to geographic location,relevant industry experience, qualifications, skills, and education. It would berare for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a givenrole. Base salary is one facet of Amphenol's total rewards package whichincludes participation in our comprehensive benefits program with medical,dental, and vision benefits effective day 1, vacation, sick leave, personaldays, paid holidays, life insurance, short/long term disability, and matching401K. Our Solutions Architects are also eligible to participate in an annualincentive bonus program and provided with a company vehicle.
