Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, highbandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks,Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable theelectronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMsglobally. Our global headquarters is located in Nashua, NH and we have design,sales, and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking SolutionsArchitects to join our Cable Backplane Business Unit in multiple locations.
High speed cable backplane systems enable most of the world's IT and datacom;including leading the way for the AI/ML revolution; and require some of the mostadvanced manufacturing technologies, and highest levels of precision, in theengineering world. These challenges require the most creative, technical minds,and ultimately provide the most rewarding experience for an engineer.
Architects are Senior Technical leaders, Leading Customer Programs in allaspects from ideation through frozen design and into volume production. They arethe design owners internally and in the face of the customer. They partner withProgram Managers and Product Line Managers to execute solutions for ourcustomers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our customer's ultimate success depends on our ability to solve cutting edgeproblems in relation to interconnect solutions. We value our relationships withthese companies, and we depend on our Solutions Architecture team to drive thisongoing partnership and lead these technical conversations.
Lead the architectural design and technical strategy for customer solutionsinvolving Amphenol Cable Backplane Systems (CBS)Define system-level requirements, ensuring high-speed signal integrity,mechanical alignment, thermal efficiency, and scalability.Develop technical specifications, schematics, and proof-of-concept modelsfor cable backplane.Function as the primary point of contact between the cable cartridgemanufacturer and the OEM.Develop a strong understanding of the OEM's technical requirements, businessand technical goals, and challenges.Facilitate regular meetings, technical discussions, and program updates withOEM stakeholders.Address customer concerns, manage expectations, and ensure alignment betweenboth organizations.Provide strategic technical support for the development and implementationof CBS products.Prepare materials and lead high-level product presentations to keystakeholders (including executives)Provide advanced customer service to solve complex interconnect problems andtechnical inquiries.Devise and implement strategies to differentiate our products and solutionsfrom our competitors.Lead efforts to meet and exceed strategic objectives.Mentor junior engineers and provide leadership within the CBS front-endengineering team.Collaborate with multiple Business Units to ensure seamless integration ofCBS products into customer systems.Develop and maintain technical documentation for CBS products and solutions.Participate in industry conferences and seminars to stay updated on thelatest advancements.Ensure project timelines and deliverables are completed in a timely mannerfor projects.30%-50% travel will be required

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's in either Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringElectrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineeringpreferred.An advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) is highly desirable.The role will draw on either your electronic engineering background (signaltransmission, EMI/EMC, signal integrity) and/or your mechanical engineeringbackground (materials, tolerance analysis, CAD tools)Minimum of 10 years demonstrated experience providing technical guidance oninterconnect solutions.Deep knowledge of interconnect solutions and how they support the largersystem architecture either from working at a connector/cable company, or fromworking on the customer side.Experience with modeling tools and Microsoft Office Products
SKILLS:
Ability to effectively communicate across the engineering and managerialfunctions of a business.Strong organizational and presentation skillsHigh-level customer service and ability to build relationships withcustomers.Expertise with modeling tools (Pro E or SolidWorks) preferred but not arequirement.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
