Senior Python Developer

AI Agent Automation / IBMi (iSeries)OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Python Developer to lead the development of AI-enabled automation solutions focused on modernizing IBMi (iSeries) vulnerability remediation and patch management processes. This role will be responsible for designing and deploying agent-based automation frameworks that accelerate security patching, reduce operational risk, and improve infrastructure resilience across enterprise environments.

The ideal candidate combines strong Python engineering expertise with hands-on experience building AI agents, automation workflows, and enterprise infrastructure integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-driven automation frameworks for IBMi (iSeries) operating system patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Build, deploy, and maintain agent-based workflows that automate remediation activities at scale.
• Develop Python-based solutions that integrate with enterprise infrastructure, APIs, security tools, and operational platforms.
• Partner closely with Infrastructure Engineering, Security, and Operations teams to identify remediation opportunities and prioritize patching initiatives.
• Create scalable and reliable automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Implement monitoring, logging, testing, and validation processes to ensure production readiness.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, security, and platform modernization.
• Participate in architecture discussions and provide technical leadership for AI-enabled automation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional Python development experience in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying AI agents, agent-based workflows, or autonomous automation systems.
• Experience building automation frameworks for infrastructure, operations, or security use cases.
• Experience working within Linux environments, including scripting, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong experience with API development, integration, and orchestration.
• Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure engineering, installation, testing, and deployment practices.
• Experience collaborating with security and infrastructure teams on remediation and operational initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and system design skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IBMi (iSeries/AS400) infrastructure and platform administration.
• Experience supporting vulnerability management, patching, and remediation programs.
• Familiarity with agentic AI architectures, autonomous systems, or multi-agent frameworks.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise infrastructure and security tooling.
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation and orchestration platforms.
• Experience working in highly regulated or large enterprise environments.
