We are seeking a senior-level Cloud Engineer to lead a development team on a significant modernization project. This role involves building new cloud infrastructure and developing APIs. The ideal candidate will guide junior developers within an agile team structure, contributing to the creation of new architecture and APIs from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of 10-12 developers in an agile environment.
Build new cloud infrastructure on AWS, specifically utilizing AWS EKS.
Set up and manage services including AWS Batch and distributed message queues like RabbitMQ.
Design and develop new Java-based API microservices for message translation and formatting.
Guide junior engineers on the team and take a leadership position on the initiative.
Work on a modernization effort focused on messaging and messaging formats.
Build new architecture and APIs from scratch.
Required Qualifications
Experience with AWS EKS and AWS Batch.
Proficiency with distributed message queue systems.
Experience with API design for Java applications.
Knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code.
Familiarity with Oracle DB.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities and strong soft skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the financial services industry.
Previous experience working with DTCC systems or projects.
