Analytics Product Owner

  • Cambria
  • Eden Prairie, Minnesota
  • Full Time

Job Description:

At Cambria, the Analytics Product Owner treats data as the product. You define the what and the why behind everything our Go-to-Market Analytics Pod ships from customer-facing recommendation engines to executive dashboards to churn models.

You'll own the roadmap for Sales and Marketing analytics. You'll set scope, shape schedules, and run the Agile cadence that turns ambitious ideas into shipped products. Data scientists, data engineers, and BI partners will look to you to clear the path, surface risks, and make the call when priorities collide.

This role lives at the intersection of business, engineering, and data science. You'll translate fluently between all three. You'll bring structure to ambiguity, protect your team's focus, and communicate with the kind of clarity that moves work forward.

What you'll do

Build and deliver program roadmaps in partnership with Data Science, Data Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and Research. Manage the backlog, broker trade-offs, and keep stakeholders aligned. Identify dependencies before they become blockers. Handle the communication up, down, and across.

What we're looking for

A proven program manager with the technical depth to lead complex analytics and data-product delivery on bold timelines. Strong business instincts. A talent for prioritization under pressure. Integrity, curiosity, and the humility to keep learning.

Above all, a great teammate. The best APMs are thoughtful leaders and champions of an inclusive, empowered team culture.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap. Define the strategy for our analytics products and prioritize by business impact, technical feasibility, and user need.

  • Translate ambiguity into action. Turn vague business questions into well-scoped initiatives with clear requirements and weigh the trade-offs of impact, cost, resourcing, timeline, and risk.

  • Run the cadence. Lead the Jira-based Agile prioritization process across each vertical. Manage the backlog. Keep the work moving.

  • Partner across the company. Work shoulder-to-shoulder with data scientists, engineers, and market research leaders, and build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the business.

  • Stay close to users. Talk to the people who consume our data. Make sure what we ship is intuitive and actionable.

  • Oversee the lifecycle. From ingestion and transformation through visualization, you're responsible for the product end-to-end.

  • Track what matters. Own the workload and performance metrics for the Analytics Leadership, and build the products to measure them.

  • Drive the day-to-day. Coordinate teams, track progress, adapt plans, and run regular reviews with teammates, partners, and executive sponsors.

What you'll bring

  • Program management chops. Significant experience leading technical programs in analytics, data engineering, or cloud-based software development from feature definition through deployment, using tools like Jira.

  • Agile fluency. A track record setting up and leading Agile development with SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, or XP. Comfortable running cross-functional squads and prioritizing roadmaps with KPI/OKR methodology.

  • Enough technical grounding. Working familiarity with analytics architecture, databases, and build-and-release processes enough to ask the right questions and make the right calls.

  • Sharp judgment. A creative problem solver who weighs trade-offs with data and anecdotes, influences without authority, and owns the hard calls when ideas collide.

  • Built for ambiguity. Comfortable working outside your area of expertise performing business discovery, simplifying problems, extracting what matters, and proposing solutions.

  • A strong communicator. Excellent written and verbal skills across every level of the org. You know how to filter and distill for the right audience.

  • The right values. Ownership, customer focus, collaboration, integrity. Inquisitive by nature, with a real appetite for learning.

  • Background in data science, machine learning, data engineering or BI is a plus.
