Job ID# 1729 StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a full time SharePoint System Administrator in San Diego, CA to join our Public Affairs team supporting the Commander of Navy Surface Forces, Pacific (CNSP). The System Administrator will be responsible for but no limited to the following requirements.
Essential Job Duties:
  • The Web and SharePoint Support Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining enterprise-level web and SharePoint environments supporting U.S. Navy operations across multiple security domains, including public-facing, NIPRNet, and SIPRNet platforms.
  • This role supports communication, collaboration, and information sharing for headquarters staff, shipboard personnel, and associated commands.
  • Key responsibilities include administering and maintaining over 170 public-facing SharePoint websites and more than 60 private and classified SharePoint collaboration sites, ensuring content accuracy, accessibility compliance (Section 508), security, and system availability.
  • The position develops and updates web content, graphics, videos, templates, and digital media products to support strategic communications and operational initiatives.
  • The specialist monitors website performance, security, and integration with social media and analytics platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google Analytics, and related tools. The role also provides monthly analytics and trend reporting to leadership and recommends relevant Navy and DoD content for publication.
  • Additional duties include SharePoint user and permissions management, help desk support for headquarters staff and subordinate commands, training development for SharePoint and web utilities, content migration to Navy-mandated hosting environments, and maintaining both current and archived information in an organized and searchable format.

Experience Requirements:
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in business process analysis, knowledge management solutions, user interface development, business logic development.
  • Preferred certification - SharePoint Certification or newer Office 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert Certification.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in SharePoint 2013 and Infopath, and experience supporting a Microsoft software development environment.
  • Recent experience within 5 years in combined experience with cascading style sheets and custom coding (X) HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript to troubleshoot issues within SharePoint.
  • Familiar with browser testing and debugging.
  • Experience within 5 years in designing and developing custom workflows.
  • Deep knowledge of all out-of-the-box SharePoint features & configurations, and have experience with assisting customers to organize their SharePoint site content.
  • Working knowledge of responsive web design, typography, color, design style, usability principles, and best practices.
  • Ability to establish project plans, regularly monitor and track progress on work projects, and ensure appropriate communications with project partners.
  • Ability to design, develop, test, and troubleshoot system applications.
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes to internal and external customers.
  • Possesses 3-5 years experience utilizing PA/KM tools: Microsoft Office (including InfoPath and Visio), Microsoft SharePoint and SharePoint Services, and SharePoint Designer, converting business requirements into technical solutions, implementing and deploying custom SharePoint features to enhance out of the box SharePoint functionality and with permission levels on SharePoint sites for users and lists.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in the area of MIS, CIS, or Computer Science preferred.
Security Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $88,000.00 - $109,000.00. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates level of knowledge, education, experience and skill sets.
