Job Summary
We are seeking a Computer Technician for a long-term, full-time contract opportunity in Florence, SC. This on-site role is ideal for an IT support professional with 1 to 2 years of experience who enjoys hands-on desktop support, device configuration, asset management, and end-user technology support in a structured government and public sector environment.
The Computer Technician will support device receipt, inventory validation, asset tracking, imaging, configuration, testing, deployment, and deskside installation. This is a great opportunity to work closely with experienced IT staff, follow established technology standards, and build practical experience with Windows 10, Microsoft Active Directory, system imaging, and enterprise device management processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive device packages, validate contents against packing slips and purchase orders, and document equipment using established asset management processes.
- Label, track, image, configure, test, and deploy computers and related devices through the full asset and configuration lifecycle.
- Install devices into Microsoft Active Directory and configure Windows operating systems, software, and agency-standard settings.
- Provide deskside installation and technical support for end users in a networked environment.
- Diagnose, isolate, and resolve hardware, software, and configuration issues in coordination with internal support teams and vendors.
- Follow documented IT standards, policies, and procedures while providing feedback to support process improvement.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $20.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Work arrangement: On-site in Florence, SC.
- Assignment type: Long-term, full-time contract/temporary role.
- Overtime: Some overtime may be needed.
- Flexibility: Candidates should be able to work flexible hours when work must be completed outside traditional business hours.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support asset management, device receipt, labeling, tracking, and deployment activities.
- Image, configure, test, and install Windows-based devices in a networked environment.
- Provide end-user desktop support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
- Work closely with IT support staff to identify, prioritize, and schedule workload according to established IT standards.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant IT, desktop support, computer technician, or technical support experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows 10.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
- Experience with system imaging.
- Understanding of device management, Windows operating systems, customer support, system support, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to follow prescribed processes and procedures with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with agency staff, support teams, and vendors.
- Ability to work on-site in Florence, SC.

- A+ Certification.
