The position would be working for HKA at the COLUMBUS, OH facility

1 PTO day per month on the 1st of each month

Outline:

ONSITE POSITION, MUST BE LOCAL TO COLUMBUS, OH AT THE TIME OF RESUME SUBMISSION PER THE CLIENT. Expect 4 days per week onsite, and one hybrid during onboarding/training (~2 months). 3 days onsite will be the ongoing expectation.

Position Overview

A Senior Cloud Data Engineer is needed to support a large-scale Data & Analytics platform modernization initiative. This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise data pipelines supporting migration from an on-premise SQL Server data warehouse to a cloud-based architecture.

The environment supports data ingestion, data quality, and data consumption for enterprise analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines for enterprise data warehouse systems

Support migration of on-prem SQL Server data warehouse workloads to cloud infrastructure

Troubleshoot ETL failures and implement root-cause solutions

Conduct technical code reviews and provide feedback to development teams

Develop and maintain data mapping documentation between legacy and target systems

Support multi-workstream project planning and execution

Ensure data quality, lineage, and integrity across pipelines

Participate in system monitoring, incident response, and operational support rotation

Analyze performance metrics and optimize data processing workflows

Support ITSM/ITIL processes including incident, problem, and change management

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field

5+ years of data engineering or related experience

3+ years of SQL Server experience

3+ years of Informatica or similar ETL tools

2+ years of ETL and data modeling experience in AWS cloud environments

Strong expertise in SQL development and performance optimization

Experience with large-scale data warehouses or data lakes

Strong understanding of data modeling and data integration concepts

Experience supporting enterprise production data environments

Preferred Qualifications

Informatica IDMC experience

Snowflake or modern cloud data warehouse experience

AWS certifications (Data Analytics, Database, or related)

Experience migrating on-prem data platforms to cloud environments

Financial Services, leasing, lending, or automotive finance experience

Strong understanding of data pipeline optimization and distributed data processing

Knowledge of MPP architecture, partitioning, and performance tuning
