We are seeking for Network Technicians to support the installation, replacement, and maintenance of critical network infrastructure. This role involves field-based work throughout the 7-county metro area, requiring a combination of technical hands-on installation and collaborative support for system engineering teams. Key DetailsEngagement Duration: 6 months
Work Environment: On-site (multiple locations across the 7-county metro area; indoor and outdoor work).
Requirements: Must possess reliable transportation to travel between job sites.
Schedule: Full-time with a requirement for a flexible schedule.
Hardware Deployment: Install and replace physical network switches and ports within system infrastructure.
Engineering Support: Assist System Engineers with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving network connectivity issues.
Logistics & Coordination: Identify, transport, and safely secure hardware equipment in assigned vehicles.
Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of work performed, including photos, notes, and shared tracking spreadsheets.
Infrastructure Setup: Assist in the physical layout of new infrastructure, ensuring equipment is installed in the correct locations and adheres to standard installation procedures.
Communication: Coordinate with the network team regarding project schedules, installation status, potential issues, and workspace power/wireless connectivity requirements.
Knowledge Transfer: Participate in team meetings and provide knowledge transfer to fellow team members as required.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of relevant experience; OR
Associate degree/technical certification with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Technical Certifications: Cisco certification or Azure certification is highly desirable.
Technical Proficiency:
Experience with low-voltage power systems and multi-media connectivity.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds).
Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and floor plans.
