Core Tasks

- Assist senior cloud architects with the design and deployment of

cloud solutions across the State of Michigan AWS, and Google Cloud Platform

environments.

- Support the buildout of multicloud environments, including public,

private, and hybrid cloud models.

- Help maintain and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure components.

- Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.

- Assist with infrastructure provisioning and configuration using

automation tools.

- Participate in integrating cloud pipelines with existing DevOps

systems.

- Document architecture decisions, pipeline configurations, and

deployment procedures.

- Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and training activities.

- Maintain clear and organized technical documentation for onboarding

and future reference.

- Support adherence to cloud security best practices and compliance

frameworks (NIST, CIS, PCI, etc.).

- Assist in implementing secure configurations and monitoring

controls.

- Work with crossfunctional teams to understand business needs and

translate them into cloud requirements.

- Participate in discussions with vendors, product specialists, and

internal teams to evaluate technologies.

- Support enterprise architecture reviews and solution assessments.

- Assist with performance analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization

of cloud workloads.

- Help design and test workload migrations and disaster recovery

scenarios.

- Support integration of cloud services with on-premises technologies

(VMware, Cisco, Dell, Nutanix, etc.).

- Leverage State of Michigan Institutional knowledge to cloud

engineering projects.
