Senior Designer, UX (Product)
The Senior Designer, UX (Product) is a hybrid role for a designer who thinks in systems and moves fluidly across research, strategy, and UI execution. You plug into cross-functional teams with ease, bringing the right contribution depending on what the initiative calls for. You are comfortable in ambiguity and bring rigor and craft in equal measure.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end UX design across discovery, definition, and delivery, from research synthesis and journey mapping to wireframes, flows, and final UI.
- Conduct and synthesize user research, stakeholder interviews, and usability testing to ground design decisions in real insight.
- Develop information architecture, user flows, and interaction models that balance user needs with business goals.
- Produce high-fidelity UI deliverables when the project scope requires it, demonstrating competency across both UX and visual design.
- Collaborate closely with UI designers, strategists, product managers, and developers across the full project lifecycle.
- Contribute to design system thinking from a UX perspective, including patterns, content models, and component behavior.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in UX or product design, with a portfolio demonstrating strong strategy and execution across the full design process.
- Proven ability to move fluidly from research and wireframes through to high-fidelity design and prototyping.
- Strong systems thinker with experience applying design thinking to complex, multi-surface digital products.
- Ability to produce UI design work independently when required, with a solid grasp of visual design fundamentals.
- Finds creative opportunities within the limits of technology, budget, legal requirements, and tight timelines, without using constraints as a reason to default to the obvious.
- Familiarity with front-end development principles; comfortable working in design-to-dev handoff workflows.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present and defend experience decisions clearly.
