This National Guard position is for a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) (INDEF) (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T5895000 and is part of the 151 ISR Group located in SLC, UT with the Utah Air National Guard.

Basic Requirements:
In general, to qualify an applicant for any GS-2210 position, apply and evaluate the applicant's competencies (Skills, Knowledge, Abilities, and Behaviors), military and civilian experiences, completed education, learned skills, obtained knowledge, endorsed abilities, and training program accomplishments. The following qualification factors are applicable to the Cyberspace positions:
- Skilled in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately
- Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate difficult and complex programs
- Ability to develop, apply, and adjust cyber program plans to attain agency objectives
- Ability to select, develop, and supervise a subordinate staff
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, not only with subordinate staff, but with all levels of key management officials, the latter particularly requiring the exercise of tact, ingenuity, and resourcefulness
- Ability to make oral and written presentations in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to apply a high level of sound and independent judgment in the solution of cyber program problems and cyber mission requirements
- A broad knowledge of and ability to utilize principles, methods, techniques, and systems
- Ability to write proper English in reports and presentation formats
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Skilled in training, mentoring, and problem solving; and
- Skilled in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting program material.
Have at least 1 year of specialized experience as GS-2210-11. (*must submit SF 50 demonstrating experience in Occ Series 2210 to validate*)
OR
Have experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled:
- Knowledge of and skill in applying IT security principles, methods, and tools; and the IT security environment sufficient to participate in defining IT security requirements; and to implement and support IT security applications. The incumbent of this position would be performing these duties but would also exceed this level.
- Knowledge of and skill in applying methods for evaluating, implementing, and disseminating IT security tool and procedures; SCIF Infrastructure; COTS technology; IT security certification and accreditation requirements; network operations and protocols; and computer forensics principles. These are required to be able to develop, implement, and coordinating activities designed to ensure, protect, and restore IT systems, services, and capabilities; monitor an evaluate systems: compliance with IT security requirements; provide advice and guidance in implementing IT security policies and procedures in the development and operation of network systems; and ensure proper protection of evidence used in investigating computer crimes.
