IntroductionThe Multi-Family Division is seeking a skilled professional to join the House Price Index Modeling Team. This role is critical in advancing the mission of making homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable by developing robust and interpretable models for tracking house price appreciation.
Required Skills & Qualifications- 5 years of experience with modeling, with at least 3 years in model testing and development
- Master’s degree in a quantitative field is required; Doctorate is preferred
- Experience applying predictive modeling techniques from finance, statistics, mathematics, data science, or computer programming to large data sets
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, Python, R, SQL, and MATLAB
- Experience working with large data sets and relational databases
- Prior work experience in the housing or financial industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications- Experience in statistical model development and implementation
- Experience with software development and system setup for model application
- Strong knowledge of statistical models, tools, and techniques
- Develop analytical methods and models related to the collateral underlying the mortgages
- Conduct research on enhancements to existing models
- Implement statistical models in efficient software languages and code model prototypes
- Coordinate model implementation testing and perform economic and stress tests
- Provide modeling and analytical support to a line of business or product area
- Prepare documentation for model development to comply with oversight and review processes
