In this role, the Data Platform Engineer will own the day-to-day administration and optimization of the Snowflake platform, ensuring stability, performance, security, and cost efficiency across the enterprise data environment. You will manage account configurations, role hierarchies, integrations, and access controls while proactively monitoring system health, credit usage, and warehouse performance. On a regular basis, you will analyze and tune queries, optimize compute resources, and implement automation to streamline provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance tasks. This team is looking for someone who not only understands the technology but is eager to solve problems, take ownership of the platform, collaborate, and set direction on projects. You will collaborate closely with data engineering, analytics, security, and DevOps teams to support CI/CD workflows, governance initiatives, and regulatory compliance, while also serving as the Snowflake subject matter expertproviding guidance on best practices, troubleshooting complex issues, and mentoring team members to ensure reliable and scalable data delivery.

Skills and Requirements

2-5 years minimum number of years of experience in Snowflake administration and operations

High-level SQL and deep understanding of Snowflake architecture

Strong knowledge of RBAC, security, and compliance frameworks

Experience with ETL/ELT tools and data integration strategies

Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for automation

Familiarity with Azure and DevOps practices

Experience with monitoring tools and cost optimization strategies Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or other related field

Snowflake certifications including Snowflake SnowPro certification and badges
