Our client, a leading innovator in autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a QA Release Engineer to join their team. As a QA Release Engineer, you will be part of the Software Development Department supporting the Perception development team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: QA Release Engineer
Location: Foster City, CA
Pay Range: $90-95/h + Benefits
What's the Job?
- Conduct manual and automated testing of software applications to identify potential risks or issues
- Analyze pull requests from developers and perform various testing methodologies including functional, regression, and performance testing
- Triage system flags and collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess impact of performance regressions
- Report and track regressions and defects in an organized manner, ensuring timely resolutions
- Continuously improve QA processes to maintain high-quality standards and support efficient development cycles
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience of at least 6 years as a QA Engineer or similar role in software quality assurance
- Experience with manual and automated testing methodologies and testing tools such as TestRail or equivalent
- Strong understanding of various testing methodologies including functional, regression, performance, and integration testing
- Experience with issue tracking and project management tools like Jira, along with strong troubleshooting skills
