Position Title: Engineering Manager

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead sprint execution, drive software delivery excellence, and manage a team of software engineers supporting enterprise technology initiatives. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and delivery accountability, making it ideal for a hands-on engineering leader with a strong software development background.
Key Responsibilities Sprint Execution & Delivery-
Lead sprint execution and actively participate in daily Scrum ceremonies.

Ensure successful delivery of sprint commitments while maintaining high-quality standards.

Act as the primary escalation point for delivery risks, blockers, and quality concerns.

Drive continuous improvement in team performance and delivery outcomes.

Manage resource planning, forecasting, and team capacity.

Lead onboarding efforts, including technical knowledge transfer and environment setup.

Foster team development, collaboration, and a culture of continuous learning.

Support performance management and career growth of engineering team members.

Provide effort sizing and estimation for new initiatives, projects, and backlog items.

Collaborate with architecture teams on solution design and technical strategy.

Partner closely with Product Owners and Product Managers to align engineering efforts with business objectives.

Establish and maintain software delivery frameworks that promote quality, scalability, and reliability.

Drive code review processes and adherence to engineering standards and best practices.

Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines, including automated testing, security checks, and performance validation.

Ensure software solutions are maintainable, reusable, scalable, and performant.

8+ years of software engineering experience.

Proven experience leading software delivery and engineering teams.

Experience managing and mentoring software engineers.

Strong technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, React.js, or similar modern technology stacks.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and engineering best practices.

Experience within the healthcare payer or provider domain.

Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and platforms such as Azure or AWS.

Exposure to AI/ML-enabled software solutions and integrations.

Candidates must be local to Minnesota and able to work onsite four days per week.
