We are seeking a talented and passionate designer to join our dynamic team, where you will play a pivotal role in crafting intuitive and engaging digital products. **What Youll Do:**

* **Shape Design Strategy:**
* Leverage your understanding of user interface patterns and behaviors to enhance user comprehension and task performance.
* Utilize visualizations and interactions to facilitate analytic thinking with complex data sets.
* Lead design critiques, assess interactions for inclusivity, and provide expert guidance to cross-functional teams.
* Facilitate ideation sessions and collaborative design activities.
* Act as the subject-matter expert for interaction design within the product design team.
* **Create Impactful Artifacts:**
* Apply comprehensive knowledge of interaction design theory, visual design theory, research data, and best practices to inform design decisions.
* Develop complex low-fidelity sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to explore, communicate, and validate ideas.
* Produce detailed prototypes to provide precise delivery specifications for development.
* Present interaction design work to senior stakeholders, articulating your vision and rationale.
* **Drive Research and Testing:**
* Facilitate usability testing sessions to gather critical user feedback.
* Initiate and participate in various research activities to deepen user understanding.
* Research interaction design strategies within the financial services sector and conduct competitive audits relevant to specific design or business objectives.
* Perform detailed pattern, micro-interaction, and component design audits as needed.

**What You Need to Succeed:**

**Must-have:**
* BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or equivalent practical experience.
* A compelling portfolio showcasing application design samples.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience designing usable interfaces across multiple channels and platforms.
* Experience in an applied research setting, including integrating user research into product designs and design practices.
* Demonstrated ability to articulate design strategy, rationale, and logic, clearly describing benefits and highlighting risks associated with design decisions.
* Expertise with design, prototyping, and research tools such as Figma, Mural, and UserTesting.com.

**Nice to have:**
* MA/MS degree or certification in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field.
* Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase.
* Appreciation for the potential of design thinking.
* Experience working within a large organization and within an agile environment.
