Formulates and defines system scope and objectives based on business and user needs. Analyzes requirements and documents functional specifications, translating them into clear system requirements. Evaluates existing systems and processes to identify improvements, and develops detailed documentation outlining user needs, system functionality, and the steps required to build or enhance applications.
Responsibilities
Development/Coding: Identifies, researches, and resolves technical issues using both internal and external resources to independently resolve intermediate problems. Communicates and provides technical solutions to business issues for both technical and user community. Applies business systems components knowledge to anticipate potential problems and their impacts to workflow, system design and resources.
Production Support Admin: Assists with meeting established schedules and deliverables of assigned projects. Interfaces with multiple departments to ensure that proper implementations adhere to established standards
Project Coordination: Assists with meeting established schedules and deliverables of assigned projects. Interfaces with multiple departments to ensure that proper implementations adhere to established standards.
Testing: Creates and verifies test cases and test scripts for assigned application systems and related processes. Performs full regression tests. Creates test plans and coordinates testing among systems analyst team.
Guidewire Software Design & Development:
Design, develop, and support integrations between Guidewire platforms and internal/external systems using REST APIs, SOAP services, messaging, batch interfaces, file-based integrations, and middleware patterns.
Provide advanced production support for Guidewire applications, including incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis, bug fixes, and data correction support.
Develop and Gunit, integration, and regression test scenarios to ensure solution reliability and quality.
Support GW defect analysis, root cause identification, and validation of fixes.
Qualifications
Business Experience:
Required:
5+ years of experience in the software engineering field or in a related area.
8+ years Software Development
3+ years Guidewire Software Development
Industry Experience:
Thorough knowledge and experience in the insurance industry.
Education:
Required:
BA/BS-Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
Preferred hiring/work states include Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Kansas, Missouri, or Texas.
Depending upon education and experience, this position can be filled at either the Senior Software Engineer or II.
The pay range for this position is $100,850 - $160,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience. The company also offers a full range of medical, financial and other benefits, including eligibility for the company's performance sharing plan and paid time off such as holidays, vacation, sick and personal holidays.
