GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for design, development, and maintenance of software, reports and programs to meet the needs of internal and external clients. The programmer will work with the team and clients under supervision of the Business Analytics Director to understand requirements, develop specifications, test and write software applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Adapts to evolving technologies and processes.
- Analyzes performance of programs; takes action to correct deficiencies upon consultation with users.
- Codes, tests, and troubleshoots programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology.
- Develops and implements test plans for new projects, and maintenance of existing projects.
- Documents programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding the information processed, stored or accessed.
- Maintains existing software programs; makes approved changes by developing detailed programming logic and coding changes.
- Provides training for developed software and select hardware and business software.
- Reviews and analyzes business needs and specifications to determine programming requirements for new and existing software projects.
- Writes and maintains documentation for software projects.
- Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information System, or other 4-year degree focusing on information systems technology.
- 1-2 years of professional programming experienced desired.
- Experience with C#, Python, and ASP.Net/MVC and object-oriented design.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL, Experience or Coursework with Microsoft SQL SERVER (T-SQL, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS).

- Must maintain a valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of the Company's auto insurance carrier if you drive your vehicle during company business.
- Must maintain required credentials and mandatory training requirements to ensure compliance with all State regulations and CHCS policies.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements to complete Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) and CPR training including lifting up to 12 lbs. and supporting up to 55 lbs.; bending, stooping and getting on and off the floor without assistance.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) is a proven safe and harm-free method of behavior modification. All consumer-facing employees of CHCS must take NCI courses facilitated by the CHCS Training team within the first 45 days of employment.
- NCI is intended to support human service professionals in giving aggressive, disruptive, or out-of-control people the best care and welfare possible, even in the most violent situation.
- NCI training provides staff with the skills to safely recognize and respond to everyday crisis situations that may involve more challenging behaviors. It focuses on prevention and offers proven strategies for safely defusing anxious, hostile or violent behavior at the earliest possible stage
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive Work experience in and fundamental knowledge of health care settings, and a fundamental knowledge of healthcare processes, both clinical and business related.
- Work experience in a community MHMR center.
- Strong project management skills.
- Applicable certifications (Microsoft Certified DBA, Oracle DBA, etc.) and/or advanced degrees may substitute for some of the experience requirements.
- Knowledge and working experience with Anasazi and MUNIS software systems.
- Knowledge and working experience with State of Texas/DSHS contract reporting requirements.
