JOB SUMMARY & FUNCTIONS:In support of the district's strategic plan, responsible for the Naugatuck Public School's technology throughout the school district. All aspects of installation, inventory and maintenance are included. This position assists staff of all district schools with technical support of devices, applications, and AV technology. Responsible for corrective and preventative maintenance on installed equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for dealing with a broad range of equipment, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair hardware and software problems throughout the District.
Knowledge of general networking, PCs, wiring, TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, imaging, telephony and network printing
Install, configure and maintain student devices (chrome / iOS) & network printing devices.
Creation and deployment of user workstation images as needed.
Prepare documentation of systems for end users and department.
Provide written plans for projects and updates as assigned.
Communicates with other staff or supervisors to ensure work flows smoothly and operations are conducted effectively, efficiently and safely.
Documents work completed and utilizes District service request system.
Perform service and installation on interactive tools such a Smart, Epson and Newline.
Performs all other District duties at the direction of the Supervisor of Technology Support Services.
Use Personal vehicle to move/transport equipment as needed to various locations through the District.
COMPENSATION: $21.00 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong technical aptitude with excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
A minimum of one (1) year experience in job specific skills. Proficiency with Windows 10/11, Google Workspace for Education and Microsoft Office suite. Experience with Mac OS / iOS operating systems a plus.
CompTIA A+ or Network+ preferred
Ability to perform recurring work independently and professionally.
Capable of improving customer service, perception, and satisfaction
Valid Connecticut driver's license with reliable transportation
Physically able to lift at least 50lbs
Ability to work weekends, shift and on-call as necessary.
