Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain z/OS mainframe automation environments
- Develop and enhance automation workflows using CA OPS/MVS
- Create and maintain REXX scripts for operational automation
- Monitor and troubleshoot mainframe infrastructure issues
- Gather and analyze functional and technical requirements
- Diagnose system errors and develop problem resolution reports
- Work closely with infrastructure, operations, and application teams
- Support monitoring and performance tools including OMEGAMON and BMC products
- Assist with automation improvements and operational efficiencies
- Participate in production support and incident resolution activities
- 6+ years of experience in Mainframe Systems Engineering or Automation
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- z/OS Mainframe environments
- CA OPS/MVS (OPS/MVS)
- Mainframe automation tools
- REXX scripting
- Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure automation
- Knowledge of z/Linux environments
- Experience with monitoring tools such as OMEGAMON and BMC
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid onsite environment
- Exposure to production support and operations management
- Knowledge of system performance monitoring and event automation
