Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Release Engineer for an infrastructure initiative,
migrating our enterprise environment from RHEL 7 to RHEL 9. In this role, you
will be working for both platform modernization and security improvement. You
will be responsible for building secure packages, container images, and
automating the entire software supply chain to eliminate vulnerabilities (CVEs).
Required Technical Qualifications
Linux Expert: 5+ years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL),
including knowledge of RHEL 9 features.
Coding/Scripting: Proficiency in Python (for development) and Groovy (for
Jenkins DSL).
Container: Practical experience building and managing images with Docker,
Podman, and Rancher/Kubernetes.
Build Systems: Experience with Make, GCC, and other build tools for
compiling software from source.
CI/CD Tools: Advanced experience with Jenkins, specifically building
scalable, code-based pipelines.
Security Mindset: Proven experience in vulnerability remediation and
security best practices.
Automation: Experience with Ansible for large-scale OS configuration. Role

You will be instrumental in the platform modernization and security
enhancement efforts, focusing on building secure packages, container images,
and automating workflows to mitigate vulnerabilities throughout the software
supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
OS Migration & Package Engineering
Execute the technical transition of applications and services from RHEL 7
to RHEL 9, ensuring binary compatibility and resolving library dependencies.
Build and compile open-source packages from source code to meet specific
project requirements.
Perform troubleshooting of library dependencies and binary compatibility
issues both manually and automatically.
Manage the full lifecycle of RPM packages.
Containerization & Orchestration
Refactor legacy container strategies, migrating from Docker-centric
workflows to Podman.
