SQL DBA (Azure SQL & Performance Tuning)

Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a strong SQL DBA with solid experience in performance tuning and Azure SQL. The ideal candidate should be hands-on with database administration, optimization, and troubleshooting, and be comfortable working in an onsite environment with occasional weekend support.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain SQL Server databases in production environments

Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting

Administer and support Azure SQL databases

Monitor database health, availability, and security

Handle backups, recovery, and disaster recovery processes

Work closely with developers to optimize queries and database design

Provide support during weekends or off-hours when required

Required Skills:

Strong experience as a SQL DBA

Expertise in SQL Server performance tuning and optimization

Hands-on experience with Azure SQL

Good understanding of backup, recovery, and high availability

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Good communication skills

Additional Requirements:

Willingness to work onsite in Houston, TX

Flexible to support weekend work when needed
