DevOps Engineer III - Onsite

Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Greenwood Village, CO.

Summary:We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support high-impact initiatives within the Mobile Roadmap - MVNO program. This role focuses on maintaining and optimizing cloud-native and virtualized infrastructure environments that support critical wireless and network operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, automation, containerization, and network technologies, with the ability to troubleshoot complex operational issues in fast-paced enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support production operations and ongoing maintenance of platform infrastructure
• Manage and optimize public/private multicloud environments
• Administer storage platforms including SAN, NAS, and Block/File storage protocols
• Support virtualized (VNFs) and cloud-native network functions (CNFs)
• Work with Kubernetes/OpenShift, VMware, and KVM-based platforms

Automate infrastructure and operational workflows using:

• Ansible
• Terraform
• Python
• Bash
• Deploy and support containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and operational issues
• Perform root cause analysis and incident resolution
• Collaborate with vendors and internal engineering teams during issue remediation
• Support network trials and proof-of-concepts (PoCs)

Develop and maintain engineering documentation including:

• Configuration guides
• MOPs (Method of Procedure)
• Operational runbooks
• Assist with knowledge transfer and cross-team enablement initiatives
• Support security hardening and compliance initiatives* 5-10 years of DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering experience
• Experience with cloud-native and virtualized infrastructure environments

Strong experience with:

• Kubernetes
• Docker
• Terraform
• Ansible
• Python and Bash scripting

Working knowledge of:

• VMware
• KVM
• OpenShift

Experience with storage administration:

• SAN
• NAS
• Block/File Storage

Experience with network protocols and infrastructure:

• BGP
• IGP
• Firewalls
• Experience working in multicloud environments (public and private)
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Cisco UCS platforms

Experience with monitoring and observability tools:

• Grafana
• Datadog
• Splunk

Experience with:

• YAML
• JSON
• XML
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and network hardening
• Telecommunications or wireless operations experience preferred
