Enterprise Architect
(Enterprise / Pre-Sales Hybrid Role)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect who can operate at the intersection of strategy, pre-sales, and delivery execution. This role requires someone who can design enterprise-wide data and AI architectures, communicate a compelling vision, and lead customers from initial concept through implementation.
Success in this role is as much about influence, communication, and relationship-building as it is about technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
1. Enterprise Architecture & Solution Design
- Define end-to-end enterprise data and AI architectures across:
- Data platforms (Fabric, Databricks)
- Data architecture (domains, medallion, real-time/streaming)
- AI enablement and consumption layers
- Security, compliance, and governance models
- Translate business goals into scalable, future-state architectures
- Ensure alignment across infrastructure, data, AI, and governance
2. Pre-Sales & Client Engagement
- Lead discovery sessions, strategy workshops, and innovation hubs
- Build and present vision-driven architectures that customers buy into
- Develop high-level solution proposals, estimates, and roadmaps
- Act as a trusted advisor to client executives and stakeholders
3. Transition to Delivery & Ongoing Ownership
- Transition from pre-sales into delivery oversight
- Ensure architectural vision is executed correctly across engagements
- Serve as a technical program lead across multiple accounts
- Drive follow-on opportunities and long-term client growth
4. Cross-Domain Technical Leadership
- Understand and integrate across:
- Cloud infrastructure & networking (private endpoints, security models)
- Data architecture & engineering patterns
- AI/ML applications and use cases
- Data governance frameworks & tooling
- Provide guidance to solution architects and engineers
- Bridge the gap between deep technical specialists and business stakeholders
5. Customer-Facing Leadership
- Lead on-site engagements, executive briefings, and workshops
- Represent the company in strategic client interactions
- Build trust through clear communication and strong executive presence
- Drive customer adoption and satisfaction
Required Qualifications Core Experience
- 812+ years in:
- Enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or equivalent
- Data platforms and cloud (Azure preferred)
- Proven experience in both pre-sales and delivery leadership roles
Technical Expertise
- Strong experience in at least one major data platform:
- Microsoft Fabric or Databricks (deep expertise in one required)
- Working knowledge across:
- Data engineering and analytics architectures
- AI/ML concepts and applications
- Cloud infrastructure and security
- Data governance and compliance
- Broad understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem preferred
Soft Skills (Critical for Success)
- Exceptional communication and storytelling ability
- Ability to sell a vision and gain stakeholder buy-in
- Strong executive presence and relationship-building skills
- Highly adaptableable to learn new technologies quickly
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
