Our client, a leader in innovative technology solutions, is seeking a SQL Database Engineer to join their dedicated team. As a SQL Database Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Data Management Department supporting the Database Development Team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative spirit, which will enable you to thrive within the organization.
Job Title: SQL Database Engineer
Location: Wayne, PA
Pay Range: $40/hr - $44/hr on W2
What's the Job?
Modify existing databases and database management systems to improve performance and reliability.
Write and code logical and physical database descriptions, ensuring data integrity and security.
Collaborate with project teams to coordinate database development and define project scope and limitations.
Review project requests to estimate time and costs, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Troubleshoot system issues and implement necessary changes to resolve problems promptly.
What's Needed?
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field.
Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with database development software such as VisualBasic.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to solve complex problems.
Basic understanding of the full software development lifecycle, from analysis to deployment.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing project requirements.
