Masters Degree in Education, Math, Science and/or /Technology preferred3-5 years experience in education, with 3 years classroom experience preferred, or any equivalent combination of training and experienceStrong interest and experience in pedagogy and innovationExperience working with diverse learnersProficient with ChromeOS, iOS (iPad), and Google Workspace for Education Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Massachusetts DESE Frameworks, specifically: Science/ Technology & Engineering Framework, Mathematics Framework, and Digital Literacy and Computer Science FrameworkPurpose:Support LPS vision & strategic goals by providing leadership & expertise in math, science & technology curricular & instructional programsProvide guidance in using technology effectively to assess student learning, differentiate instruction & provide rigorous, relevant & engaging learning experiences for studentsHelp create hands-on activities that teach 21st Century Skills: Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking, Problem SolvingPerformance Responsibilities: Curriculum / Instructional ProgramServe as a resource to principals and grade level teams in organizing and coordinating meetings to effect horizontal and vertical continuity and articulationProvide instructional leadership on curricular programs including but not limited to Into Math, FOSS Science, Gizmos Participate in the evaluation of elementary instruction methods and programs and recommend changes/ improvementsServe on Elementary Curriculum Committee (ECC) Assessment / Using Data for Instruction:Provide guidance to utilize formative assessments, MAP & MCAS data to inform / differentiate instructionAssist teachers in using data to improve instruction and identify remediation / enrichment needs Instructional SupportPerform demonstration lessons in classrooms for observation by teachersCo-teach lessons with teachers to strengthen vertical curriculum alignment & build capacity across grade levelsEvaluate and integrate innovative digital tools, instructional materials, and effective teaching practices across all content areas.Inspire and support teachers to try new learning strategies and toolsSupport and enrich district-wide STEM programming by collaborating with educators on STEM projects and maximizing the impact of school makerspaces.
