Overview The Agency of Digital Services (ADS) is seeking an IT Systems Developer to join our team. This position will be supporting the Department for Children and Families (DCF) and the Department of Vermont Health Access (DVHA) within the Agency of Human Services (AHS).
Responsibilities:
Consult with users to identify current operating procedures, clarify program objectives and elicit business requirements to effectively design solutions that meet their needs
Systems analysis, design, implementation, testing and maintenance of new or existing software applications and related duties as required
Provide system support and maintenance
Cross-team collaboration with technical and non-technical partners
Follow established processes and procedures
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Familiar with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Knowledge of software development platforms, computer programming languages, software frameworks, and design patterns
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience working as part of a team
Ability to learn quickly and is self-motivated
Ability to multi-task and to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Ability to prepare clean and concise technical documentation
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing
This position is based out of Waterbury, Vermont with some remote work available (currently up to 2 days per week).

Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree in computer science or college-level coursework that includes 15 computer science credits
