MID-Level Angular Developer w/Java

W e are seeking a hands-on Angular Developer w/Java to join our Workplace Investing (WI) Platform technology group at Client Investments in Smithfield, RI. This role focuses on developing and maintaining Client Defined Contribution (DC) rules administration platform, working across a mixed-technology environment (Java, Spring, Angular, Oracle). The ideal candidate will have strong backend Java development expertise with complementary frontend Angular experience, and will be responsible for delivering enterprise-grade solutions in a fast-paced Agile environme nt. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs (75% focus). Build and enhance frontend components using Angular and related UI frameworks (25% focus). Participate in the full product development lifecycle, including roadmap development, design, coding, testing, and production support. Write unit tests, integrate APIs, and ensure code quality through TDD/BDD practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, business analysts, and QA engineers. Provide rotational, on-call production support for enterprise applications. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and Agile cerem onies. Required Qualifications Bac helor's degree in Computer Science preferred. 3-6 years of programming experience in Java, JavaScript frameworks, and client-side technologies. Strong backend development expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs. Experience building single-page applications with Angular. Proficiency in designing code, writing unit tests, and integrating APIs. Experience with databases (Oracle, SQL) and repository management tools (Git, Bitbucket). Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Preferred Qualifications Kno wledge of microservice principles and implementation using Spring WS, REST patterns, OAuth, Swagger, Apache Camel. Experience coding with Java 8 and Spring frameworks. Exposure to service transformation, routing, and orchestration. Experience with server-side Java (J2EE, REST, SQL, JUnit, Tomcat) and client-side technologies (HTML5, Angular, JavaScript, CSS, JSON). Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Maven), containerization (Docker), and cloud deployment (Azure). Knowledge of API modeling languages and annotations (Swagger)F Experience developing pattern-based solutions (libraries, interceptors, SDKs). Strong understanding of data structures (Binary Trees, Graphs) and hands-on experience with tree traversals.
