Position Description:

We are looking for a Service Desk Technician to join our IT Team to improve infrastructure in our Pittsburgh office. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. The candidate must have three months to five years related support experience in a Microsoft Windows environment and familiarity with personal computer hardware and software configurations. Certification in A+ and/or MCP and experience in supporting civil engineering (AutoCAD, Civil3D, ProjectWise) is a plus. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid work schedule is available after 30 days of employment.

Typical Responsibilities include:

Provide Service Desk support and be accountable for the response and diagnosis of end-user issues

Assist in computer troubleshooting and maintenance, operating system and application installations, computer lease configurations, computer deployment and returns.

Manage, record, report support activities and inventory.

Take ownership of complex problems and escalate to the appropriate I.T. team member to expedite resolution

Travel between Wade Trim locations to provide computer, network, video conferencing support services

Provide on-site support and assistance for local CADD engineering applications and plotting

Troubleshoot server and network issues

Write effective user-oriented Helpdesk work order resolution documentation

Attend seminars and/or training classes

Anticipate and provide resolutions to problems

Provide hands and eyes support for Server and Network teams

Maintain a safe working environment

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required

Skills Required:

3 to 5 years related support experience in a Microsoft Windows environment

Familiarity with personal computer hardware and software configurations

A+ and/or MCP certification is a plus

Experience supporting civil engineering applications (AutoCAD, Civil3D, ProjectWise) a plus
