COMPANY: Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P.

TITLE: Software Engineer I - (Multiple Openings)

DUTIES: Develop, enhance, and support applications. Maintain and modernize existing applications and develop new applications. Support all aspects of software/application development lifecycle including design, development, testing, release and support of mission critical software/applications. Design backend database schemas. Produce deliverables with clean, well-documented and easily maintainable code that adheres to define coding standards. Write unit/UI tests to identify defects and leverage CI/CD for building and deploying code. Triage production issues and work with multiple teams to perform problem analysis. Assign and review tasks from junior and offshore software engineers. Respond to user questions, concerns, and issues. Responsible for systems development and support on Fuel Administrations systems and financial applications. Hybrid work from home permitted three (3) days per week within a reasonable commuting distance of the Reading, PA office.

SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience as a Developer, Engineer, Lead, or any occupation in which the required experience was gained.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Plus demonstrated experience in:

AS400, RPG/400, RPG FREE, ILE, CL, CLLE, DBU, DB2SQL, SQLRPGLE;

IBM I rational, Implementer, Xanalysis, Advance Query Tool, Jira, Confluence;

Application development life cycles/methodologies;

Sytems development life cycle thoroughly, and ability to produce all required deliverables;

Database administration and data processing concepts;

Understanding of computer systems and underlying platforms and architectures;

Demonstrated ability to independently write system specifications for complex applications.
