DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role supports the full range of network and technology functions that keep the agency operating effectively. The position requires maintaining systems, guiding staff, and ensuring technology remains secure and dependable. As a Network Specialist 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Network Oversight: Manage hardware, software, communications equipment, and remote site connectivity
- System Support: Maintain stand-alone systems, document imaging tools, and an older client management system
- User Assistance: Resolve software, hardware, and communications problems for agency staff
- Standards Management: Develop it standards, procedures, and policies for technology use
- Planning Duties: Assess system needs, determine requirements, and assist with future operations planning
- Documentation Work: Maintain records for device configurations, cabling, maintenance agreements, and system changes
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Network Specialist 1 or Network Specialist 1 (LG); or
- Four years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance; or
- Two years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance.
