Application Security Engineers (NetBrain Technologies, Inc., Burlington, MA): Will be responsible for cybersecurity of our software networking products, which includes discovering security exposures, functioning as an expert for security solutions, coordinating with Engineering, DevOps and Product teams, and assisting the development of automated security testing. Daily duties include: assist the organization to evolve its application security functions and services; Perform Security code reviews across all code platforms via Static analysis tools; provide leadership for application vulnerability scanning and penetration testing remediation; Manage integration with vulnerability tools such as Static Code Analysis and Dynamic Code Analysis tools; discover security exposures and develop mitigation plans, and also report and fix the technical debt; Provide support to the Information Security Architect on all application security activities; represent the organization in Information Security programs; actively participate in security initiatives with minimum supervision; Function as a subject matter expert for security solutions within the organizations platform; provide guidance to junior-level security engineers; responsible for troubleshooting production issues and performance bottlenecks; follow security best practices in performing tasks; work closely with cross-functional teams (Engineering, DevOps, Product) while carrying out daily tasks; contribute to requirement gathering with product teams; work together with cross Business Unit teams on executing standardized security solutions and integrations; partake in inner sourcing initiatives within the organization; participate in and support application security reviews and threat modeling, including code review and dynamic testing; facilitate and support the preparation of security releases; support and consult with product, support and development teams in the area of application security; and assist in development of automated security testing to validate that secure coding best practices are being used. In carrying out the day-to-day responsibilities, the Application Security Engineer will apply specialty knowledge of security libraries, security controls, and common security flaws, and will utilize programming languages such as Python and JavaScript. Minimum requirements: Masters degree (foreign equivalent degrees accepted) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field of study, or in the alternative, a Bachelors degree (foreign equivalent degrees accepted) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field of study, and 3 years' experience in any related positions performing code review and apply knowledge of security libraries, security controls, and common security flaws, to identify and resolve security related software issues. Telecommuting is permitted 4 days per week with the ability to work at the Burlington, MA office with 24 hours notice. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from one hundred ten thousand dollars in our lowest geographic market up to one hundred fifteen thousand dollars per year in our highest geographic market for full-time employment and standard company benefits.
