Primary Purpose:
Support the installation, maintenance, support, monitoring of the district LAN/WAN and other connected services as needed.
Quali?cations:
Minimum Education / Certi?cation:
2 plus years of college or experience in a related ?eld preferred
Special Knowledge / Skills:
- Knowledge of WAN/LAN-based TCP/IP.
- Knowledge of Cisco Meraki Wireless Networking and Protocols
- Knowledge of APC battery systems
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Win10 and above, and Apple Operating Systems OS X and above.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting Cisco Layer 2 Switch IOS's
- Experience with/understanding of Cisco Layer 3 Switches and Routers
- Experience con?guring network devices, APC Battery backup, and other devices as required/needed.
- Ability to work e?ectively with Technology and other District personnel.
- Perform all job functions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and make sound, independent decisions when necessary.
Minimum Experience:
Two years working with WAN/LAN networks and troubleshooting and repairing network issues for Windows PCs, Chromebooks, Macs, Printers, Ipad's and other network-connected devices
Major Responsibilities, Duties, Expectations
Manage projects, tasks, tickets, as assigned in a timely manner.
- Ensure that appropriate/correct communication protocols (e.g. TCP/IP etc.) and hardware connectivity topologies are correctly utilized across the WAN.
- Provide on-site installation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution of network hardware connectivity for campus administrative/instructional users.
- Provide on-site installation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution of APC battery backup systems.
- Provide on-site installation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution of network software connectivity for campus administrative/instructional users.
- Support District-wide wireless networks as needed.
- Maintain con?dentiality of and a ?duciary approach toward all departmental and district information, data, forms, etc. (i.e., normal/con?dential memos/correspondence within department/District,
passwords, payroll/personnel information, student information, etc.)
- Work collaboratively with Network and Systems Engineers to ensure a team approach to District LAN and WAN systems.
- Perform other duties/assignments as assigned by supervisors.
- Take the initiative to develop needed professional skills appropriate to job assignments.
