Backend Developer - Node.JS, Payments

We are seeking a Backend Developer with strong production backend experience to join a fast-growing, AI-native fintech company building a modern API-first payments platform.

The ideal candidate will bring experience with deep expertise in Node.js backend development, REST API architecture, PostgreSQL schema design, AWS cloud services, and event-driven systems.

Strong experience with AWS Lambda, RDS, SQS, API Gateway, CI/CD automation, OpenAPI/Swagger documentation, and production observability is required.

In this role, you will build and maintain production-grade Node.js backend services, ACH payment workflows, asynchronous event-driven processing systems, and financial data models with strong integrity and failure handling.

Location: Remote in Austin, Texas, Requires future Hybrid work
