Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Autonomy Software Engineer to provide technical leadership in the development of next-generation autonomous systems. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and scaling production-grade autonomy software focused on perception, planning, control, and platform capabilities.
This position requires strong expertise in complex embedded and distributed software systems, along with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, field-ready autonomous solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, development, and optimization of autonomy software systems for embedded platforms
Design and implement scalable solutions for perception, planning, control, and autonomous platform capabilities
Translate ambiguous technical requirements into reliable production-quality software
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including systems, robotics, controls, AI/ML, and hardware engineering
Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across autonomy projects
Develop high-performance, real-time software for autonomous and embedded environments
Drive software quality through testing, debugging, code reviews, and continuous integration practices
Support deployment, validation, and performance tuning in real-world operational environments
Contribute to long-term technical strategy and architecture decisions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
Strong experience in embedded software development and autonomous systems
Proficiency in C++, Python, and modern software engineering practices
Experience with robotics/autonomy frameworks, real-time systems, and distributed architectures
Strong understanding of perception, planning, localization, or control systems
Experience building scalable, production-quality software solutions
Hands-on experience with Linux-based development environments
Strong debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ROS/ROS2, autonomous vehicles, robotics, or industrial automation systems
Familiarity with AI/ML-based perception systems
Experience with sensor integration including LiDAR, Radar, GPS, IMU, or Cameras
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-connected edge systems
Experience mentoring engineering teams in agile development environments
