Advanced Network Security Engineer

The Network Security Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of perimeter security services across global data centers and cloud environments. This role focuses on firewall, proxy, and zero-trust solutions, ensuring secure, reliable connectivity while proactively identifying risks and driving improvements.

You will act as a key technical resource, collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and support ongoing infrastructure initiatives, including coordination with teams supporting Operational Technology (OT) environments.

Key Responsibilities

+ * Manage and support perimeter security technologies, including firewalls, proxies, and zero-trust platforms across on-prem and cloud environments

+ * Administer and optimize solutions from key vendors such as Check Point (firewalls) and Zscaler (zero trust / proxy)

+ * Install, configure, and maintain network security hardware and software

+ * Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of services

+ * Contribute to infrastructure projects, including design, deployment, and optimization of security solutions

+ * Proactively identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities; propose and implement solutions

+ * Maintain accurate documentation (architecture diagrams, procedures, runbooks)

+ * Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams, including coordination with OT security teams where network and industrial environments intersect

+ * Provide support for service requests and incidents, and participate in on-call rotation

YOU MUST HAVE

+ * Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics

+ * Minimum 5 years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on network security

+ * Hands-on experience with enterprise firewall technologies, preferably Check Point

+ * Experience with secure web gateway / zero trust platforms, preferably Zscaler

+ * Experience designing and deploying firewall solutions in data center environments (3+ years)

+ * Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS , or VMware NSX (2+ years)

+ * Solid understanding of networking concepts ( TCP /IP, routing, switching, VPNs)

+ * Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills
