Network Engineer (F5)

Our client a leading technology provider is seeking a Network Engineer (F5) to join their team! This position is located Hybrid in Seattle, Washington. Core Responsibilities Provide leadership in technical support and documentation to various departments and users regarding the global infrastructure Serve as a liaison to gather network requirements from internal customers, vendors, and other third-party providers Have a strong focus on F5 technologies, including BIG-IP LTM, GTM, Remote access, traffic management, and application delivery optimization across the enterprise network Manage other responsibilities such as: Forescout device profiling in a Software Defined Access environment and managing SolarWinds device monitoring for the Data Center and Enterprise environment Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) Bachelors Degree required, preferably in Computer Science or Network Engineering 5+ years of recent experience with network design and build-out of LAN/WANs and/or large-scale network retrofits and remediations Hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP solutions, including load balancing and application delivery Knowledge of SolarWinds Monitoring and Forescout NAC Advanced level experience working with most of the following technologies/applications: MPLS, BGP, LDP, QoS, IPv6, OSPF, vPC, STP, DWDM, EVPN, L2VPN, MPLS VPN, L3VPN, FHRP, VLAN, Network Engineer III CDP, port-channels, IS-IS, MPLS Inter-AS, VXLAN, DNS, ACL, RADb, Flow spec, RTBH, GitHub, API's, NFV, Hypervisors, virtual switching Multi-vendor experience working with the following platforms: Cisco IOS, ASR 1k (IOS-XE), ASR NCS (IOS-XR), Nexus (NX-OS), Aruba wireless and ClearPass Experience working in a service provider, datacenter/hosting environment, or large-scale enterprise networks Experience researching, evaluating, and recommending hardware and/or software solutions supporting large-scale deployments and/or remediations against the LAN/WAN Experience working with 3rd party networking vendors, with an understanding of the service/hardware/software portfolios they provide Able to identify areas of process improvement and provide input and solution options to streamline work Experience with network service monitoring systems (Spectrum, SolarWinds , and Cisco DNAC) Must have: CCNA and F5 101 Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) F5 201, F5 301, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP preferred CCIE (R&S, SP, or DC) highly preferred (or equivalent experience) Python PCEP Key Competencies & Behaviors Excellent writing, documentation, and communication skills Possess the ability to communicate well with technical and non-technical peers Customer service-oriented attitude Work Environment Location: Seattle, WA Hybrid Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $42.00 and $60.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
