Database Administrator

Design, implement, and maintain internal databases to support inventory management, point-of-sale (POS) tracking, customer data, and vendor records across Mei Ya Asian Market's retail operations; Monitor database performance and ensure system availability, reliability, and security by optimizing queries, managing indexes, and configuring backups and recovery plans; Develop and enforce data standards, access controls, and security protocols to protect sensitive customer, supplier, and transaction data in compliance with applicable data privacy regulations; Collaborate with operations and IT teams to create reporting tools and dashboards for sales analytics, inventory forecasting, and performance metrics to support business decision-making; Troubleshoot database issues and coordinate with software vendors and third-party service providers to implement system patches, upgrades, and enhancements with minimal business disruption; Plan and execute data migrations, system integrations, and database scalability improvements as the business expands or adopts new digital platforms, ensuring continuity and data integrity.

REQUIREMENT:
Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer and Information Technology or a related field.
