Position: Desktop Support or Field Support
Location: 3 Farm Glen Blvd, Farmington, CT-060632

Position Summary
Coordinate communications between software/hardware vendors and end users to resolve desktop technical issues. Document and assess IT Desktop Configurations as they relate to company polices. Perform regularly required maintenance of desktop applications
and hardware systems as required.
Position Responsibilities
Deploy PC's and all peripherals as requested.
Test connectivity and functionality of installed devices
Provide timely and accurate support to the all desktop users
Trouble shoot and resolve user issues
Escalate issues as needed
Request Assistance from other IT Departments as needed
Assist other IT Departments as requested
Gather end user requirements
Gather and compile information from vendors, business owners, and / or other IT staff, as assigned.
Follow Established policies, procedures, and documentation guidelines
Performs other duties as required.
Develop and maintain security procedures.
Complies with health and safety requirements and with regulatory agencies such as DPH, etc.
Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.
Regular, reliable and predicable attendance is required.

We have an immediate opportunity for a Desktop Support acts as the on-site face of IT within clinical environments, delivering hands-on technical assistance to providers and practice managers. The role centers on day-to-day support operations using the ServiceNow ticketing system, including traveling to clinic locations, onboarding users, installing hardware, resolving technical issues, and responding to escalations. Professionals in this role diagnose and fix a wide range of hardware and software problems, support vendor applications, and ensure systems are fully operational to maintain clinical readiness. They also adapt to new technologies, guide users through changes, and continuously improve support processes.
In addition to operational support, the role involves managing IT assets such as receiving equipment shipments, maintaining inventory, and coordinating device distribution and returns for both on-site and remote staff. Senior Desktop Support also contributes to project work like product rollouts, office moves, and hardware refresh initiatives, while mentoring junior team members and providing feedback to management. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Advanced technical expertise in Windows OS, Microsoft Office, HP hardware, Active Directory, VPNs, Citrix, and data migration is essential, along with experience in incident management, system deployments, and enterprise-level IT support.
