The Role

Amphenol Military High Speed is seeking a Product Manager to work out of its newfacility in Endicott, NY.

Note: This is a 100% onsite role.

The key responsibilities of the Product Manager include, but are not limited to:

Support and enable the success of the product line; responsible for theexecution of determined and set strategies.

ProductIdentify and execute on monthly order goals, assisting sales in orderclosureTarget and implement cost reduction programsIdentify and prioritize new product needs and opportunitiesMaintain technical expertise on product lineManage strategic inventory releases to maximize profit and salesPricing & Profitability:Review incoming margins daily, driving actions as neededMeet margin expectations for both orders and revenueEstablish and maintain pricing guidelinesProvide pricing for corporate contacts, maximizing both share and profitCreate and track cost estimates on new productPromotion:Utilize Marketing Communications team to develop content across web,print and multi-media platformsDevelop regular promotional plans for product lineConsistently review competitor promotional positioningRegularly visit key customersSales Channel:Lead pricing decisions that maximize Amphenol share and profitDevelop and identify channel strategy with Distribution and OEM SalesteamsInterface with distributors and Distribution Sales team to maximizeAmphenol's share of the shelfSupport training efforts for both Direct Sales and Distribution teams

Salary: $62,354 - $80,000

The key skills and qualities of a Product Manager at Amphenol Military HighSpeed

Bachelor's degree in business or engineering preferred or equivalentexperience plus 2 years' direct experience in cable manufacturing, copper,and/or fiber opticsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to gain a full understanding of the objectives of the product linewhile working independently towards achieving those goalsAbility to maintain total knowledge of all aspects of their assignedproduct(s), including key account and strategic customers, costs and pricing,sales opportunities, competition, market conditions, manufacturing methods (andopportunities)Will interface at all levels of departmental and top management at AmphenolResponsible for direction, strategy and growth for product lineProlonged periods of sitting, typing, and other computer related workTravel (up to 25%)
