Job Summary:Responsible for software architecture, for the design, development and integration of complex military combat vehicle software-based systems.Essential Functions: Support Process development (DevSecOps, Agile / Sprint)Support Development environment and tools (development cloud, Jira, Git, ) set-upProject schedule planning and budgetingProject bidding and proposal activitiesProblem solving and technical assistanceSupport vehicle software developmentRequirements analysis, decomposition and managementResearch and analysis of solutions to meet customer requirementsSoftware and cybersecurity architectureSoftware safety designTrade alternative design approachesIntegration of military lethality, survivability, mobility and C5ISR systemsSoftware documentation (SSDD, SRS, IRS, IDD, logic flow-charts / activity diagrams, UML / SysML Modeling and Simulation)Software configuration managementSoftware integration and testSystem integration lab developmentCreate/review test plansComponent/Vehicle test supportCorrective actions Prototype development and test supportAnalytical analysis and simulations to evaluate system performanceInteract with external / internal customers and suppliersSubcontractor managementMaintain project open issues listsPrepare/ present project status (EVMS, )Willing and able to travel internationally for technology transfer Supervisory Responsibilities:None Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)Applied working knowledge in the domain of software engineering development and systems integration, with a proven track record of product development throughout the entire product lifecycleWorking knowledge with digital, analog, power and RF electronicsKnowledge of Systems based design and related Standards/ProcessesAbility to present technical solutions to clients and internal stakeholdersFamiliarity with the US DoD ground vehicle requirementsKnowledge of the US DoD process and procedures for vehicle development and acquisitionFamiliarity with the US Army TACOM / TARDEC organizationsPractical hands on' attitude with the ability to operate independentlyDetailed knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering and vehicle principlesDetailed knowledge of Military Standards and regulationsCurrently holds or can obtain SECRET US Defense clearanceMust be able to communicate effectively in a variety of settings and be able to assimilate complex instructions easily. Ability to communicate with all levels of management and staff to establish productive relationships. Superior consultation, diplomacy, influencing and negotiating skills is required.
