Job Description

Our Client, a Banking company, is looking for a Scala Spark Developer for their Toronto, ON/ Hybrid location.

Responsibilities:

The Scala Spark Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data processing solutions to support Liquidity MRA reporting, analytics, and data quality controls.

Develop, enhance, unit test and optimize data pipelines using Scala and Apache Spark.

Implement transformations, aggregations, and calculations required for liquidity reporting.

Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of large-scale data processing jobs.

Integrate data from multiple source systems (e.g., transactional, risk, financial data).

Apply data validation, reconciliation, and error-handling mechanisms.

Support deployment, code reviews, and production issue resolution.

Requirements:

Years of Overall Experience: 5 to 10 years experience would be ideal

Banking preferred

Regulatory reporting in banking preferred

Liquidity reporting preferred

Scala Spark exp

Adhere to Client SDLC enterprise development standards, security, and governance policies.

Scala Spark developer experience - at least 5 years

Strong communication skills

Banking/Regulatory reporting in Banking

Liquidity reporting
